A day (or several) in logistics – Pilatus
Working in logistics at Pilatus is like living on a roller coaster… but with backpacks, boxes, and delivery deadlines 🚚🎒
It's a super dynamic job, where no two days are alike. Some days everything flows smoothly: orders go perfectly, deliveries arrive on time, and it feels like the entire logistics universe is aligned. And other days… well, other days are spent putting out fires nonstop 🔥😅
Because in logistics, we don't just depend on ourselves. There are many external factors at play simultaneously: transportation, suppliers, timelines, campaigns, B2C clients, wholesale, corporate clients… and things don't always go according to plan. That's where the real challenge (and the interesting part) begins.
There are calm days, chaotic days, and epic days.
Like Christmas, for example. Everything was overwhelmed, urgent orders, impossible deadlines… and we were creating, almost on the fly, a handcrafted order-handling chain. The whole team was involved: preparing special packs for clients, combining different products, loading boxes, moving backpacks, carrying urgent supplies from one place to another. Literally, everyone working together, making things happen 🌲💪
Is it complicated? Yes.
Is it intense? Extremely.
Are you bored? Never.
The best part of this journey is that, even though things don't always go perfectly, I always do my best, and I'm never alone. My team is always ready to help, to solve problems, to adapt, and to push together when things get tough. When we need to improvise, we improvise. When we need to run, we run. And when we need to think as a team, we're there.
Ultimately, logistics at Pilatus is not just about moving orders: it's about solving problems, coordinating, reacting, collaborating, and enjoying the constant challenge.
A demanding job, yes… but also one that you live, learn and enjoy every day.
